Aims and Disciplines
The Institute is devoted
to advanced research and training in any field of Mathematics.
The aims of the Institute are the following:

To develop and support
research in Mathematics through the organization of scientific activities
including advanced courses, workshops, conferences and seminars.

To promote interdisciplinary work
among researchers from different fields of Mathematics.
The main fields of activity
at IMUB are Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Commutative Algebra, Computer Science,
Differential Geometry, Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Logic, Number Theory,
Statistics, Stochastic Calculus, and Topology.
