Fall School in Holomorphic Dynamics

Barcelona, November 5-9, 2007

This is the second edition of the school  "Topics in complex dynamics" in the University of Barcelona. This time around  the school is a CODY event, so we encourage all Ph.D. students of the CODY network to attend the meeting.  There will be three courses of 4.5 hours each. The courses are intended for graduate students and usually cover important tools in complex dynamics, starting from an introductory level. The afternoons are reserved for student talks, where they can present their work, either finished or in progress.

The lecturers are Kari Astala (University of Helsinki), Walter Bergweiler (Kiel University) and Boguslawa Karspinska (Warsaw University).

The courses will take place at the seminar room of the IMUB, located at the top level of the Court of Sciences (Pati de Ciencies), in the right part of the historical building of the Universitat de Barcelona (How to arrive)

Courses ( Schedule (including short talks) )

K. Astala: Holomorphic motions

W. Bergweiler:
Complex analysis and transcendental dynamics

B. Karpinska: Cantor bouquets in the iteration of entire functions and Hausdorff dimension

Preregistration
(closed, setember 28)

To attend you must preregister first. To do it, click here.  As room capacity is limited, the preregistration will be closed when the course is full.
